PET finish 26/22-12,9-1/2,17 version 4,2 % vol CO2
Scope of application
This document provides specifications and requirements of the 26/22 mm screw finish with one (1) thread start for carbonated beverages up to 8,4g CO2/l (4,2 vol % CO2) content and bottles of up to and including 2,0 l litres in capacity.
Important note: This replaces previous editions foreseen up to 7g CO2/l (3,5 vol % CO2) and includes an extra thread segment. The previous version is not suitable for carbonation levels over 7g CO2/l (3,5 vol % CO2).
This finish is intended for non-refillable bottles, has vent slots and is designed to take a tamper evident plastic closure engaging on a bead foreseen for this purpose.

This joint group is in charge of all GME data sheets ("Finish data sheets"), dedicated to the geometry of PET neck finishes and their related documents. These data sheets are related to finishes dedicated to the beverage industry (such as soft drinks, mineral water & wine), packaged in an aseptic environment and/or with nitrogen injection, and to the food industry (e.g. edible oils, vinegars, and sauces) and allowing to receive mainly plastic caps.
