PET finish 26/22-12-1/2,5
Scope of application
This document provides specifications and dimensions of the 26 mm screw finish with one (1) thread start for carbonated beverages up to 7g/l CO2 content and for bottles up to 1,5 litres. The dimension (12,0) is the height in millimetres from the top of the finish to the bottom of the support ledge, offering line interchangeability with the current three (3) thread starts neck finish for flat water (GME30.28 - PET FINISH 26/22-12-3/6.5). This finish has vent slots and is designed to take a tamper-evident plastic closure.

Update 01/2016 minor layout corrections

Revision II: 03/2026 – Decision at PET meeting 16/06/2025 to have, in all GMEs, an identical sentence for general tolerances: ” General tolerance for radii is ± 0,13 mm unless otherwise specified”. Replace § Requirements with reference to DT18.00.
In the scope replace the reference to GME30.28, document withdrawn, with the standard EN 16594. The note below the drawing mentioning that dimensions may change as caps should remain attached as of 2024 has been deleted. A note for the radius under the support ledge has been added. The index marks on the drawing have been deleted.

These data sheets are related to finishes dedicated to the beverage industry (such as soft drinks, mineral water & wine), packaged in an aseptic environment and/or with nitrogen injection, and to the food industry (e.g. edible oils, vinegars, and sauces) and allowing to receive mainly plastic caps.
