Glossary of reusable glass container visual damages
Scope of application
This document is a non-exhaustive list of examples of visual defects for returnable glass and PET bottles. It constitutes a general data sheet for all containers of all types, except those for cosmetics and perfumes. It does not preclude specific requirements agreed between bottlers and suppliers at a customer level.
The glossary is split into sections loosely based on the area of a container where the defect is found:
§ 2 Finish defects
§ 3 Neck and shoulder defects
§ 4 Body defects
§ 5 Bottom defects
