Line simulator (wear) for glass containers

Scope of application

The glass containers can be affected in their appearance and their mechanical properties by the passage on the filling line, as well as in the other steps of their life such as handling and transport. This document describes the principles of a device called line simulator designed to exert on the containers a known force for a given time, with a movement producing a container-to-container contact. This device allows to compare the properties of the containers before and after the use.
