Main types of sealing on glass containers

Scope of application

This document is a non-exhaustive list of the main types of sealing for glass bottles and jars, used for the packing of beverages, food products and flaconnage products (cosmetic and pharmacy). It also lists corresponding reference documents concerning the particular finishes. For finishes used primarily in flaconnage, see the Cetie data sheet DT21.00 - FLACONNAGE - GLASS NECK FINISHES. Refer also to data sheet DT27.00 - CROSS-RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CETIE DOCUMENTS AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS that gives the relationships between various Cetie documents against international standards.
